Hello hello to our first blog update.

As of now we are just going to post our proposal, but we will post more updates next week

What is the goal of the game?

Protect the objective (yourself) from an enemy that is constantly attacking, trying to last as long as possible

What is the story or theme or emotion?

“ As a thief you just stole a priceless artifact, unfortunately you were ratted out, and it’s only a matter of time till you are caught. Might as well give them a run for their money”

Ideas on style and design. What does the game world look like?

Simplistic. Rounded body/limbs. Main scene is a cityscape.

How does the player control the game? Is there a user interface?

Store/menu for interaction. Mostly point and click.

What other elements are there (NPCs, collectibles, dangers)?

There will be a main enemy that will pursue the object you are protecting

(chance of spawning new ones)

What scripts need to be programmed?

Menu/UI

All of users options for stopping enemy

Enemy movement

Think through the player’s experience and interest curve

There will be basic(adding a wall) and complex (altering the enemies AI) options for the player

AI will slightly change as game goes on

What is your minimum playable game?

User can create walls

User can move player

Have win and lose set up

Enemy small movement

Who has ownership for which scripts and assets and which parts of

the game (each person needs to have ownership for a reasonably

sized script)?

Steven -Menu/UI

Jordan - User options

Juan - Enemy movement

What do you plan to do for each build?

  1. Build one

    1. User can create walls

    2. Have win and lose set up

    3. Enemy small movement

    4. Player avatar

  2. Build two

    1. Have a more in-depth UI

    2. Allow the user do more to stop enemy

    3. Implement RNG for options

    4. Randomized NPC avatars

  3. Build 3

    1. Final build

    2. Randomized user options

    3. Balancing

When are your regular meetings times?

Tues Thurs 5pm
