Hello hello to our first blog update.
As of now we are just going to post our proposal, but we will post more updates next week
What is the goal of the game?
Protect the objective (yourself) from an enemy that is constantly attacking, trying to last as long as possible
What is the story or theme or emotion?
“ As a thief you just stole a priceless artifact, unfortunately you were ratted out, and it’s only a matter of time till you are caught. Might as well give them a run for their money”
Ideas on style and design. What does the game world look like?
Simplistic. Rounded body/limbs. Main scene is a cityscape.
How does the player control the game? Is there a user interface?
Store/menu for interaction. Mostly point and click.
What other elements are there (NPCs, collectibles, dangers)?
There will be a main enemy that will pursue the object you are protecting
(chance of spawning new ones)
What scripts need to be programmed?
Menu/UI
All of users options for stopping enemy
Enemy movement
Think through the player’s experience and interest curve
There will be basic(adding a wall) and complex (altering the enemies AI) options for the player
AI will slightly change as game goes on
What is your minimum playable game?
User can create walls
User can move player
Have win and lose set up
Enemy small movement
Who has ownership for which scripts and assets and which parts of
the game (each person needs to have ownership for a reasonably
sized script)?
